The recent overturn of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court of the United States eliminates the Constitutional right to abortion and severely restricts people’s access to essential reproductive healthcare in many states. While widely expected after last month's leak of the SCOTUS draft, this decision is difficult to accept. It is important that even as we experience sadness, disappointment, frustration and anger, we also take action to push back and fight. The Department of Feminist Studies stands with you in solidarity, and extends compassion to those whom this decision (re)traumatizes.

Read the statement from the National Women’s Studies Association here, which includes links to many resources for people seeking assistance for reproductive healthcare and justice.
