Feminist Studies awards Honors and Highest Honors in the major. At the end of each quarter, a faculty committee meets to review each graduating student's file. Award criteria are based on the preponderance of excellent narrative evaluations for applicable course work and senior exit requirements. Writing a thesis is not a requirement for receiving Honors or Highest Honors. Students are notified by the department via email if they have been awarded honors. At the end of spring quarter, a list of the entire year’s awardees is forwarded to the colleges for inclusion in their commencement ceremony addendum and is printed in the Feminist Studies Senior Celebration program.
