Resources Many resources are available for Feminist Studies students as they work toward completing their degree and beyond. Our resources page is divided generally into information on undergraduate resources, community and professional organizations and employment and career options for Feminist Studies students. Feminist Studies Faculty The Feminist Studies Undergraduate Studies Committee (USC) is responsible for meeting with new majors and signing declaration of major forms. The Chair of the USC is responsible for approving course petitions for UCSC, EAP, and transfer courses. The members of the UC rotate yearly. The Feminist Studies department office will gladly identify the faculty members who can best provide you with advising help, depending on your needs and goals. Research and Library Resources The Feminist Studies Library, is a non-circulating library that houses over 4,000 books, journals, and periodicals donated by Bettina Aptheker, Marge Frantz, the family of Lionel Cantú Jr., alums, and friends of Feminist Studies. A searchable database allows you to explore the collection online. *Update* The Feminst Studies Library has moved from its original location at Kresge Collegee to the Humanities 1 building, room 316, across from the Feminist Studies department office. Please check back here for hours and other information as it becomes available. The UC Mc Henry Library has an excellent collection of women's studies and feminist studies materials, including books, videos, films, journals, newsletters and newspapers in many languages. Women's Studies: A Library Research Guide is available at McHenry Library Reference Services. Kerry Scott, the Feminist Studies Librarian, can be reached at 459-2802 or scottk@ucsc.edu for scheduling in-class or library presentations on doing research using print and computer resources, or for any questions regarding the women's studies collection at McHenry Library.
