Class of 2006
After graduating from UCSC, Ritika moved to Oakland to organize with Critical Resistance, an organization committed to the abolition of the prison industrial complex. She worked as a Paralegal for a prisoners rights law firm in San Francisco for four years, advocating for the mental health care rights of California prisoners and assisting with the prison overcrowding case in 2008.
Recently, Ritika has been working as a Paralegal/Office Manager at UnCommon Law, a law firm that represents lifer prisoners in their parole consideration hearings. She is still organizing with Critical Resistance and can be reached at ritikaCR@gmail.com.
