Michelle Potts

Class of 2010

I graduated in 2010 and have been living in Oakland since then. Also this past fall I started my PhD in the Rhetoric program at UC Berkeley.  My work mainly focuses on the intersections of feminized labor, race and health.  Also another exciting thing was that this past fall I had an essay about HIV and trans imprisonment published in the anthology CAPTIVE GENDERS: Trans Embodiment and the Prison Industrial Complex. One of the editors is Histcon's very own Eric Stanley. I'll post the website for the book below. It's an amazing collection with really great pieces by activists, scholars and incarcerated folks.
