Jaymie Campbell

Class of 2007

Jaymie CampbellSince graduating UCSC in 2007, I have been working in HIV prevention and research with medically underserved populations in San Francisco and Philadelphia. Collaborating with the Harm Reduction Therapy Center in addressing the needs of the medically vulnerable inspired me to apply to graduate school. I attended the California Institute of Integral Studies and obtained a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, emphasis in Community Mental Health. Working in public health and community mental health for five years has directed me toward the pursuit of a doctoral degree.

I was recently accepted into the Human Sexuality Ph.D. program at Widener University in Philadelphia and begin this Fall. My goal is to become the Executive Director for a transgender center of excellence serving the complete physical and mental health needs of queer and transgender populations.
