Dissertation Fellowships

Pending annual budgetary approval, the Feminist Studies Department offers one to three graduate dissertation fellowships each year to students in the Feminist Studies Parenthetical Notation. Applicants who have advanced to candidacy and are nearing completion of their dissertation are given priority. The fellowships provide funds intended to cover fees and a stipend for one quarter of support. Fellowship recipients are expected to devote themselves to writing during the fellowship quarter and not to hold teaching assistantships or other employment.

Each winter or spring the fellowship application period is announced via email to the FMST Parenthetical Notation students and the seven participating graduate departments (Anthropology, History, History of Consciousness, Literature, Politics, Psychology, and Sociology).
